Blood donation needed
During this lockdown, donations to the blood bank have been impacted. A representative from the bank stated, “Since 1964 we have been running a Rotary Central TTK VHS blood bank, doing 24/7 service to 350 Thalassemia children, free of cost and to other patients at working cost. Thalassemia children require blood transfusion once in 15 days throughout their lifetime. Because of the recent Coronavirus pandemic, there is a heavy shortage of blood units and we request all healthy people of the society to donate blood between 10 am and 5 pm on all days except Sundays. The Blood bank will take the necessary precautions for safe blood collection.” The blood bank can be reached at 22541692, 22542829.
